What is breathwork and why do we do it?
This circular breathing pattern, often called Holotropic, is a breathwork technique to get you out of your "ordinary" state of mind and into a "non-ordinary" state of mind. Why do we do this? Because we often operate from our thinking minds and as we all know, the brain doesn't always give us the full truth and we get "stuck in our heads", feel "heady" about a situation or feel "stressed out of our mind" about things.
When we do circular breathing, it pulls us back into the body. When doing so, we start to see a completely different view on life. The brain thinks, but the heart knows. As we over-oxygenate our bodies, we will experience physical sensations, such as tingling, a feeling of floating, and you may experience tetany (a tightening of the extremities that is temporary). We have traces of DMT in our bodies and the breath starts to carry that as well as serotonin and dopamine through your system so you will often times experience a feeling of bliss!
Along with the physical sensations, your emotional state will be affected as well... and this is GOOD! As you breathe in this pattern, your subconscious will start to pull up past memories, traumas, and stories for you to look at them again. Oftentimes, this is where people find the most clarity and peace about their past experiences. They are able to see things from a different vantage point. It's quite amazing!
Our participants come back again and again to experience massive shifts in their mindset, resulting in positive outcomes in their personal and professional life.
Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat you like or we will have some on site, a blanket and a pillow for comfort. Bring a water bottle and chapstick! An eye mask is helpful, but not necessary. There are contraindications to this breathwork so please read the waiver carefully and ask us any questions you may have.
Not suitable for pregnant women.
